Xerox has announced updates to its enormously popular Xerox App Gallery, giving you even more tools to enable your customers to simplify their workflows and boost their productivity – all from the easy to use ConnectKey-enabled MFP.
Give Your Customers a Personalized Experience
Customization is always a great way to get a customer’s attention. Every small and mid-size business wants products and solutions that match their unique needs. With the introduction of even more ConnectKey®-enabled devices, like the Xerox VersaLink C400/C405 printers and the B400/B405 MFPs, Xerox is making it even easier to give your customers exactly what they need. Xerox also provides additional support for their entire ConnectKey® enabled fleet – that means printers/MFPs of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. This is a big relief to customers who want to know that the technology they buy today will be able to evolve with them into the future. Xerox has also made the App Gallery more accessible by allowing end-users to browse the gallery without a login.
With this update, app downloads now automatically adjust “under-the-hood” to fit each MFP/printer’s capability and personality, meaning they automatically adjust for each machine’s screen size, scan capability (device or no device), class and age, even matching capabilities such as alerts and messages that are unique to the end user’s region.
Increased intelligence also means increased security, another word customers love to hear. Encryption is unique to the Xerox App Gallery, which uses HTTPS for a secure transport, authentication, and bi-directional encryption. Xerox controls, reviews, and even “whitelists” all apps submitted to the App Gallery to ensure that they perform as expected and meet the high security standards of Xerox.
Improved User Interface
Time and time again we’ve heard customers tell us that features aren’t any good to them if their machine is too complicated to integrate into their office quickly and easily. That’s why Xerox offers a state-of-the-art interface that is familiar and easy to use. It adds ‘gesture’ capabilities as well as other options that make it simple, intuitive and very user friendly. The ever-changing interface “carousel” highlights new and popular apps so customers will always stay ahead of the curve – where every business owner wants to be. Another strong selling point? All ConnectKey enabled printers/MFPs support several languages.
Expanded Range of Apps
Perhaps most exciting of all are the new apps themselves. Apps have helped businesses across all verticals to simplify the way they work – and to improve it. The newest apps from the Xerox ConnectKey App Gallery allows Xerox Channel Partners to leverage those victories by offering new apps that improve the way customers browse the web from their devices; allow them to print and scan from their Spark meeting rooms; store and share business cards; and provide powerful and secure document scanning. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is also now available via app, making it easier than ever to unlock the power of your document. Perhaps best of all for partners are the updates to vertical specific apps, which have been game changers in several industries including healthcare, where the new Healthcare MFP app (also known as the Share Patient app) is improving healthcare outcomes by changing the way vital information is shared. Small and mid-size businesses can also leverage the @PrintByXerox app which enables easy printing from email, in any location.
PAB – More Opportunities for Partners to Customize
One of the most lucrative revenue generation opportunities with ConnectKey is the Personalized Application Builder (PAB). PAB provides an excellent opportunity to partners to drive new revenue and strengthen client relationships. This unique program provides tools, training and marketing resources that help partners alleviate their customer’s pain points with custom created, personalized solutions for everything from office and managed print services (MPS) to production. Partners have not only helped their customers work better with PAB; they have also generated additional revenue by successfully selling their app in the Xerox App Studio.
